    756 Review

First off, sorry for the doppelpost. I've made them slightly different for those who read all the forums

I finally got some time to make some pics, not to mention a new lamp which make it alot easier!

    Vorzüge:

-Supreme legibility and the lume stays readable throughout the night.

-My sample is accurate. When I got it, a watchmaker at Sinn set it for me and I noticed two weeks later, it was bang on with the legendary DeutscheBahn station clocks

-Antimagnetic, 200mWR, tegiment coating, D3 pushers and CopperSulfate capsule. Makes one feel good and there is simply no better value out there if you like technologies and geegaws.

-Immaculate fit and finish. No complaints whatsoever- No dust on the dial, chrono hands aligned, pushers and crown are precise, clasp is firm.
I'll admit all other watches in my collection fall down on one of these. Not the Sinn!

-The nickelfrei caseback is a nice contrast with all that blackness.

-Love the Valjoux Wobble. It feels alive.

-The tegiment black is totally unique AFAIK and doesn't scuff (knocks on wood).

-Love the case shape. Tall tuna can with sharp plain bezel.

-Double AR coat lets the crystal disappear, but there is a downside.

    Nachteile:

-The AR coating will smudge if you look at it wrong. I'm forever wiping it down. The crystal does sit proud of the bezel, so I imagine the AR coat will scratch, too.

-It would have been nice to have the 3, 6 and 9 lumed.

-The black tegiment will scuff on parts of the bracelet where two parts rub. It makes sense, actually. No big deal, see pics...

-It sits on my wrist in such a way that it accentuates my wrist fat.

Strangely I find that 4 weeks later, I don't feel the urge to reach for it in the morning. I can't put my finger on it.
I hope to warm up to it, like a CD that takes a few listens.
I did buy it in Frankfurt on a special trip for me so it does have sentimental value

    Hi mikesae,
congratulations to your new Sinn. It is the essence of understatement.

    Greetings,

    Christian

Edit: Is that a scratchmark on the clasp in the 3rd picture?

It's more of a scuff accentuated by the lighting.
I don't know the terminology, but it's caused by the small subclasp securing onto the main clasp.

Thanks for the review. That is one of my favorite Sinn's besides my 103.

The 103 rocks, I had a hard time deciding between the 103 or 756!

Perhaps I prefer the dial of the 103, but in the end I decided I wanted to try an all black watch

Congratulations, very nice 756 you got there, wear it in good health!

I just picked up a Series I 756 a few days ago and I really like it, for all the reasons you stated above. I also agree with you about the AR smudging easily, but you only notice at certain angles, normally it looks as though there is no crystal at all!

Did you custom make your watch carrier? I'm looking for something similar myself.

    Regards,

    Terry B

    Re: 756 Review

    Hi Terry,

    It's a Sinn watchbox @ 125 Euros (though I claimed 16% tax back).

It comes with 2 strap changing tools, loctite, polishing cloth and loupe.
As you can see, the upper portion is secured by an elastic, so I don't know how long that will last (knocks on wood again).
