Any U1 (or U2 or UX) owners in central Texas?

    Hello watchfriends,
My new friend Ken Y. referred me here to the Sinn forum in an effort to find a fellow Sinn fan in central TX. I've got between six and eight weeks left on the Watchbuys waiting list for my U1, and thought twice now that my watch pusher was getting one in trade. Unfortunately, the owner has backed out, and I still haven't had my hands on one yet. I'd really like to have the opportunity to see one in person before taking the plunge. If anyone has a U series near Austin, TX, I'd love to get together for a drink or lunch when it's convenient for you. I'm willing to drive a couple hours from Austin just for 15 minutes of putting my mitts on your watch! Drinks or lunch are, of course, on me.
If it works better for anyone in Denver, I'll be at the airport for an hour on October 3rd, and again on October 11th on the way to (and back from) Oahu, HI. OR, if your on Oahu, let me know and I'll buy you a MaiTai during those dates. Feel free to e-mail me if you're somewhere in my area!

    Welcome to the Forum, Jeff.

Inappropriate? Not at all. It's a good idea to use the forum to check out particular watches (especially if they are not widely available, like Sinn) and I have learned much about the "feel" of various watch models during WIS-meets, and have experienced watches that I would never have put on at a jeweller's.

Sounds like someone could get a free lunch just by showing off their Sinn U1 to Jeff down in Austin . Any takers out there? BTW, I'm sure your wait will be worth it once your U1 arrives .

FWIW, I live in Fort Worth, not exactly Central Texas... If you're ever up this way, I'd be glad to meet with you. I have a U1 on bracelet, love it!

Any luck yet on seeing the U-1? I guess maybe Fort Worth is your best bet in that both L.O. Little and me are here. Keep us posted.

btw...I showed off my U-1 at a Panerai (Paneristi) gathering in Dallas and, people gave it a thumbs-up. Not trying to make you feel bad or anything like that ;o)
