Anyone tried removing the end links?

    Re: ST 142 Ti, LE:

This watch is basically the regular barrel shape with end links resulting in an oval design.

Has anyone with this model tried removing the end links?
After removing, can the a regular leather or silicone strap fit properly?

I am unsure of the placement of the spring bar holes of this watch compared to the ones in the original barrel shape case.

I've removed the bracelet and fitted a thin black silicone strap.

The spring bar holes are very close to the case. Neither a thick silicone strap nor NATO strap can fit.

I wear my vintage 142 on a Hirsch Pure, which fits perfectly and looks OEM when fitted with a Sinn buckle.

I’ve also worn it on a custom canvas strap, but that is very difficult to fit.

Thank you. It’s a bear to get that strap mounted, but fits fine once it is on.

A stainless steel mesh band on a titanium watch doesn't gel.

I'll be wearing this combo for the time being until the new silicone strap I ordered recently arrive. It is black colour with red stitching.
