I've read a few horrendous service stories concerning WatchBuys here on WUS, including someone who received a defective watch and got the silent treatment from WatchBuys, until he contacted Sinn in Germany.

I'm hesitant to deal with them.

Fair concern. In my case I bought two Sinns from them and both were smooth experiences. Duty fees are big but that's not their fault of course. They are the sole Sinn AD for North America anyhow if I am not mistaken.

When things goes south that is where the value of great AD comes into play.

I would shoot the guys at Louis Black in Toronto an email - I bought 2 Sinns there years ago, and they were great to deal with.

    1. WB has been generally good to deal with for me, however be aware WB has a no-returns policy for non-US customers.
    2. WB conveniently sent 2 of my Sinns to my preferred local Canadian watchmaker for warranty services of bezel insert replacement and dial replacements, which meant shorter wait times. (Note that this was obviously for a non Ar/CuSO4 watch for dial replacement)
    3. I've paid 18% duty for all my Sinns shipped via WB into Canada
    4. If you're interested in buying used Sinns in Canada without duty from other Canadian Sinn owners, then one place to try is here: For Sale Or Trade Within Canada
