Question Choosing my fist Sinn, but which model

Decided to go with a Sinn after long and hard thoughts. The models I like are the Sinn U2-T EZM 5 Fully Tegimented on Bracelet (3300), Sinn U2 Black EZM 5 on Bracelet (3400), Sinn U1 S Black Fully Tegimented on Bracelet (2600), and the Sinn U1-T Fully Tegimented on Bracelet (2600). All are plus tax too. Believe all those are sold out for the time being. Are the U2's worth the extra 700-800 and what about the need for service and how long before to do so? Also, is the only service center in Germany, was to there was one her in the USA? Thanks

Lastly, are these worth the price all things considered and/or do they lose huge value once worn?

Of the ones you mention, I have the fully tegimented U1 on bracelet. I definitely believe that the extra cost of tegimenting is worth it. The U2 is on my radar, and if you need / want the GMT functionality, that's the way to go. RGM provides service in the USA, as well as Sinn in Germany.

Take a look in the sales section to determine how well values hold up. There are always a few of the variants you mention available, so you can save some money and still get a great watch.

If your concern is resale, don't buy any watches.

    Tegimented is really worth it.

I've had the U1 and U2. My preference would be the U1 with U2 hands, but alas Sinn won't listen to me.

I never go black, it always shows wear quickly.

I'm not concerned about resale, as I would keep it. Just want to make sure the price is worth it to me. I thought that about the black also. So I would go with the Sinn U2-T EZM 5 Fully Tegimented on Bracelet or the Sinn U1-T Fully Tegimented on Bracelet

I think the service on the U1 is 5 years and the U2 is 8-9 years, do I have that correct?

I can't remember the service period.
That u2 was think so make sure you like a thick heavy watch. Don't get me wrong, it is awesome, just know what you are getting yourself into.

    All great choices

However I highly recommend the T1.

Grade5 titanium with a tegimented bezel.
The case/case back design makes it much more enjoyable to wear all day. For me, it’s the ultimate Sinn diver.

    Good luck

As others have said; the tegimenting is awesome.

Re: Choosing my fist Sinn, but which model

I'm a believer in the Tegimented as well, great decision.... and partial to a U1. Personally, outside of extreme diving or usage in more extreme climates, I prefer the "lower technology" U1. It doesn't have to go back to Germany for specialized service. I'm also more inclined to wait for "symptoms" before service vs a set service interval. All of my watches are on somewhat of a rotation although the U1 has been on my wrist since I purchased it with the exception of short periods of time here and there. I've never experienced abnormally huge repair bills from waiting.

My U1 has become my daily wear watch and I'm considering one of the black bezels or it's at least nice to know that's an option if I want to change the watch's personality.

Both of my tegimented watches still look like new in spite of several mishaps that I believe would have left other watches with visible battle damage !

    Here's my U1 on it's latest Erika's strap:

If it were me, I’d opt for the fully tegimented U1 on the bracelet. I think it one of Sinn’s most unique dial designs.

I have a fully tegimented and DLC U2 on bracelet and it is my favorite watch to wear! But it’s definitely a beefy watch, so be prepared for that.
