THIS is the clasp all U-series SHOULD come with!!!

    Hi Guys,

As most of you know, I swapped out my original clasp for the 22mm push-button clasp that came with the rubber strap. Here's what it looked like:

I liked it that way, but, after seeing Michael Sandler's L.E. EZM 1 pictures, I inquired if a 20mm version of the push-button clasp was available. A kind TZer approached me with a used one he no longer needed and here are the results:

The only problem is if you need micro-adjustments, there aren't any to be had. Luckely this is not an issue for me, as it fits like a glove!
The total weight of my watch is 217g, which is quite heavy, but extremely well balanced.

    So, what do you think?

Very nice I just got the rubber strap for my U1 and was thinking to myself how much nicer the clasp is than the one on the bracelet. The lack of micro adjustment could be an issue for some but if it did fit there would be a huge improvement.

How did you attach the clasp to the bracelet links?

    Ahmed... I LOVE THAT skit!

I passed the spring bar directly through the links. Fits perfectly.

You can attach the 22mm clasp to your bracelet if you like. By using tiny washers made with cut bic pen refills, it can be quite snug. You can find a tutorial on this site if you do a search.

It is a HUGE improvement, IMHO. Such a technically advanced watch, needs a equally impressive clasp...

    Just my 2 cents,

Oh, I see now that the clasp from the rubber strap is 22mm and it needs to be 20. I will try and check out the pen refill solution, but it sounds a little scary to think tiny pen parts would be keeping my U1 on my wrist.

If you really want micro adjustments you can ditch the dive extension and just drill some extra holes in the clasp. Here's what a 22mm looks like without the dive extension (polished and on an Omega PO of course).

When I used this set up I cut the strap 2 holes longer and was able to hide the excess in the clasp so I could still have some extension if needed, or extend a hole if my wrist swelled on a hot day.
