Did RGM mess up my watch?

I noticed a small dot on the left sub-dial of my Sinn 903 that wasn't there before I sent it in for service. You can see the dot right after the 10 second mark on the subdial. What could this be?

It clearly wasn't there before service.

Looks like a piece of dirt or something. I would send it back, I cant imagine its too difficult to pop off the crystal and clean the dial. Good luck!

Thanks, I've contacted them. The watch is also running a bit fast at almost +15 seconds a day. I'm not necessarily expecting chronometer standards but that seems out of spec.

Yeah hopefully it's just a speck of dust and not a scratch. I'm assuming that the second photo is pre-service? If so, I'd send it back to them and ask them to fix it at no charge. I really haven't been impressed by RGM lately, gotta say.

I'd go for a bit of crud too so send it back as it not acceptable.

I'd consider taking it to a local watchmaker to remove the crud. Sending it back and losing it for several weeks for a job that only takes a few minutes seems like overkill. If the local guy determines it's a scratch, then you should send it back.

Yep. Removing a crystal and blowing off the dial, is a quick easy job. However, it would be proper for RGM to be held resposible some how. Maybe refund a portion of your repair bill?

Factor in the cost of insured shipping, and the local watchsmith seems more practical... would not use a local guy for argon filled cases...
