Doe's Sinn Do Any Extra Work To The Sellita Movement In The U1?

Just curious if they do any extra regulation or modifying of the movement? Been saving up for a Tegimented one or a Spring Drive Tuna just cant make up my mind and have about 500 dollars to go. I had the Tegimented one over a year ago for a single day and returned it for something else and am sorry I did it.

Sinn use Top Grade movements in their watches. My U1 Professional uses the SW200. It runs great @ +1-2 seconds a day. I couldn’t be happier. Now the SD Tuna is in a whole different league when it comes to accuracy. We’re talking +1-2 seconds a month!

Finish... Seiko’s DLC is nowhere near as tough as Sinn’s tegimented U Boat steel...not even close. Seiko’s DiaShield is a joke compared to tegimentd steel.

Bottom line, both are great looking awesome divers. I’ve been a Seiko fan for 40+ years but I recommend the U1.

    Cheers

Curious - why would you recommend the U1 over a more accurate watch?

Depending on how much accuracy you’re after, Sinn’s UX is good for +/- 20 seconds a year.

I guess it does boil down to form over function at some level. Else, we'd all be sporting plastic cased, generic quartz...
