    Finally received my U1 !

I have finally received my U1 , I have it for running for 10 days and it is fast only by 3 secs !

On the hind side I had a small scratch my AR, my fault as I was demostrating the toughness of the the bezel by running it against the metal edge of the table and I accidentally scratched it !

It is proven, the AR can be scratched.
I will try to post some pictures I took of my U1 on Don's R series strap.

Thanks to all who have given my advices !!!
    Regards

    Hi,

therefore it was not necessary, that you make this test.

AR from the U-models is near at the sapphire glass (1800 : 2000 Vickers) but the difference from sapphire to Diamond (10,000 Vickers) is very, very large.

Wear your (expansive) watch very carefully, we do it too. But sometimes every people can get an unluck...

But a watch with an "used" look is a part of the life from the owner.

    cheers

congrats on the new watch. i confess that when i first saw the U1, i didn't like the style of the hands or the indices very much, but i must say that bynow, it has really grown on me.

i really like the clean dial design...brings out the black much more. i may wind up picking up a u1 even though it would be sorta redundant since i recently got an U2.

nice strap, btw! where did you pick it up?

It is proven the AR coating can scratch !

I am just highlight this fact, so that other U watch owners out there who are tempted to test the hardness of the tigmented bezel will not make a foolish mistake like me.

I take it as a small price to pay, but doing that and watching my friends "freezed and ouched ! " reaction was Priceless ! :-D I think I might have converted a few when they inspected and found no scratches on the bezel.

The U1 is my tool watch just like my Dweller, but you have my word, not more demostrations ! HaHa !!

yah, i got it...thanks. looking for an alternative black or maybe a dark grey strap over the sinn rubber for an slightly more upscale look. i generally like bracelets but i'm finding the rubber to be more comfy (and lighter!) than the bracelet.

what color is that strap of yours?...it looks blue(ish) in the pics.
