    Franken? Sinn

Any thoughts on this watch? It's got a "lugless" case like a 144, or a 157..., but I haven't found a match. (EDIT) Looks like a 7760 movement?
    Thanks!

Well, now I am double interested.

    Fake?

notes: no crown guards, no pusher "shoulders" (not sure what to call those), black case with no lugs, flat mineral (sapphire?) crystal, dial like a 356.... The case has a good amount of wear, a few nicks here and there, the black (PVD?) is worn on the edges and corners, and more grey than black overall.

Also, I think it's a 7760 movement, it handwinds. And, German day wheel.

There's a rotor clearly visible on the back of the movement.
7760 is HandWind only, so, not 7760.

    Re: Franken? Sinn

I guess I should say it's a 776x movement? It's an auto that hand winds, which I believe the 7750 in the 356 does not.

I ended up owning this watch, with some skepticism. I'm open to comments or speculations on it!

I have a 356 with the Sellita 500 movement which is identical to the 7750 and it hand winds.

Update: the movement is a 7765, seen in my not-good picture. There are some numbers scratched in to the caseback, as far as I can read with my old eyes: (and bad pictures)

    Re: Franken? Sinn

Looks to me like the first gen 7750 movement from the 70's especially with that style of rotor, but I did do the google thing and found that the 7765 is a manual wind movement and in the case of the photos you showed may indicate that parts were used from a 7765 to build a 7750.

Send a picture to Watchbuys or Sinn themselves. They should be able to answer all your questions.
