    Help I can't decide 857 UTC or 857 TESTAF

I am trying to decide between the 857 UTC or the 857 TESTAF. Both would be on metal bracelet. Main difference is the GMT hand and second time zone color. Is there anything else I am missing?

Aside from the aesthetic differences, the major difference is that the regular, non-TESTAF version has anti-magnetic protection up to 80,000 A/m (has a soft inner case that shields and protects the movement from magnetism). The TESTAF version does NOT have this magnetic protection (although it is still anti-magnetic as per DIN 8309). In fact, no TESTAF certified watch can have an anti-magnetic inner core because it could potentially interfere with air equipment, as I understand it per the TESTAF standards. Also, the TESTAF version has the orange accents since that is an aviation safety color, I believe.

According to Sinn's website they both meet
    Anti-magnetic according to DIN 8309

Yes, but the non-TESTAF version has greater anti-magnetic protection (80,000 A/m) because its of inner soft core. The TESTAF version lacks this inner core. DIN 8309 is 4,800 A/m, I believe.

I had an 857 UTC and regret selling it. They are great watches. Cheers, Bill P.

The Testaf's second hand is luminous, if that is a deal-breaker.
