    hydro question

I tried this once before a few years ago and returned the UX I bought because there was crap floating in the oil. I miss the watch and want a watch that I can do everything with and not worry about accuracy or having to see it wound etc.

I still have my reservations about the bubble. Is this for certain going to happen or is it something rare? Its a lot of money to drop at nearly $3k so short of perfect is going to drive me nuts. The hand misalignment I noticed wasnt an issue because the bounce caused the seconds hand to align perfectly depending on position of watch so its just a "thing" about this watch that I accept but a bubble to me means defect.

I read a lot of the threads and it seems newer current versions have less problems with the bubble so maybe now is the time for me. Just trying to do a little bit of brain storming before buying

    Thoughts?

From following the threads about this and from my own UX, the bubble is rare (I'd say <10% of the recent UX's).
I suggest you set-up a poll here to get some numbers.

    It is a unique watch!!
" Two mighty torches of flame like the wings of a yellow bird of fire flew over a field, covered a field with a brilliant yellow bloomings of flame, and in the midst of it, white as a ghost, white as the white of Melville's Moby Dick, white as the shrine of the Madonna in half the churches of the world, this slim angelic mysterious ship of stages rose without sound out of its incarnantion of flame and began to ascend slowly into the sky, slow as Melville's Leviathan might swim, slowly as we might swim upward in a dream looking for the air............."

If a bubble showed up during the 3 year warranty is that considered something Sinn would take care of? Does Sinn cover shipping for warranty stuff? Warranty is nice but I read to get it there and back is like $300 just in shipping

Is wathcbuys still the only place to buy Sinn? Ive read some drama about their customer service so I dont know if its true. I have been not following watch stuff for a while now

WatchBuys is the only place in the US to buy Sinn. I’ve had my UX from them 7 plus years now still on original battery and zero bubbles or issues.

Never heard of them but for that sort of savings I’d be tempted to try them

seems like they have really good policies. 30 days return if something you dont like about the watch but must be as new etc. Basically a long inspection period. They are an authorized dealer and ship to USA. I just emailed them to see if I am missing something because of the huge cost difference.

    Re: hydro question

    No they don't.
Sinn restricts any other A.D. from shipping to U.S. (I am sure you can find some AD from GErmany to ship etc but not Page & Cooper.

Ahh. Yeah I just seen this come up in a discussion. Huge cost difference seems a bit unfair. I wonder why they made this a policy or the reason is cost difference being so high
