I have just decided to go for the U1

    Hi !

I have for the last few months been trying to find a watch that i could use at work without having to worry too much about it getting scratched. I am a policeofficer so I do "rough around" from time to time.

I thougt about bying one of Seiko's divewatches, but i prefer a mechanical movement. I have been following this forum for a while and I must say that I all the experience that the members in here posses made my choice easy. It was a bit weird to order a watch, that I hadn't seen personally, but I am confident that i have made the right choice. Thanks to all of you U1 owners :thanks

I dragged my feet at firts about getting a U1...then when it arrived I wished I had gotten it sooner! Great watch that wears well, even for its size. I have yet to put a mark on the case or bezel and I have accidentally knocked it into several things

Just do not knock it into your customers! Might leave a mark on them, (but not the watch)!!

This evening i finaly got an email from the danish distributor. I should receive my U1 tomorrow. That postman may better be on time. I will try to post some pics when I get it. I'm not sure i will get much sleep tonight.

Re: I have just decided to go for the U1

Just got my U1 on a rubber strap yesterday from my local AD. One thing I can say - the pictures posted do not do it justice! Absolutely comfortable to wear despite its hefty size. Was contemplating between an Oris and a Sinn for my first mechanical watch and definitely enjoying my decision now

Will post up pics once I learn how to. As you can tell, I'm a newbie here in the forum and looking forward to many more timepieces to come...
