Issue with my Sinn U2 SDR after one month of ownership

background: bought this in Paris about a month ago from Galeries LaFayette.

Tried resetting the time just 10 minutes ago. Afterward when I tried to screw the crown back in I realized it did not want to securely lock in.

After 5 minutes of frustration I realized the threads have probably crossed.

This is probably my 5th or 6th occurrence with setting the time.

I thought the crown issues have gone away?

Contacted Sinn customer service to see what I should do. Sad to even have to send it in for service after one month. Does anyone know how long the process usually takes?

Had similar experience with 144 Ti GMT threads until I had crown and tube replaced by parts from the 144 steel version.
    Sadly, not an option here.

On a better note, Sinn gives warranty repairs the highest of three priorities.
I take it the watch will go straight to Sinn?

I'm waiting for a response from Sinn. But it will most likely end up getting shipped to Germany.

I did have the watch posted for trade but will have to take it off now. I will end up keeping the U2 since I like it so much after winding it up again earlier.

How long did Sinn take on the repair btw?

My 756, purchased in May this year, was returned for warranty repair as a screw was missing from the bracelet and the minute timer stopped at 8 minutes. Returned via Jura Watches on 22nd July. Nothing heard since then and no reply to email from Sinn. Not my best acquisition!

    Wow, that's such a bummer.

I sent an email to Sinn last night and received a response this morning.

Provided them with serial number and warranty card.

I'm hoping this will be smooth warranty work.

Still no sign of my watch. Sinn say they have not got it. Jura inform me that they do. Not very satisfactory! This a long repair.

I received shipping label from Sinn.

Will be shipping out the watch for repair in the next couple of days.

    Estimated time is about 12weeks.

wow this sounds bad. I might have to buy a used one with eta movement. even though people who sell it used sell it for 100-150 dollars cheaper than new for some odd reason.

Well. Still not had my watch back from Sinn. Last email from them indicated repairs would be completed the first week of November. Bearing in mind that I have been unable to use the watch since purchased in May, and they have had it since July, I am disappointed to say the least. The Sinn website states that warranty repairs are given priority. Obviously this is not true. My suspicions are the watch has been lost. I am about to start legal proceedings to recover the cost of the watch. I will not be purchasing another Sinn
