Owned one for a bit. That tegimented steel is no joke. I desk dove with it often and not even a scuff on the clasp.

    Re: My new U1-T

    Update:
Good news: I really like the watch! I like the size and weight. I like the color of the case and bracelet. Seems darker than normal Stainless Steel. Probably from the Tegiment process. As of this morning, it was keeping nearly perfect time. When I checked it to an atomic clock before work today, it was less than one second off. That was after running about 36 hours. Hard to believe.

Bad news: While adjusting the bracelet, it was a little tight. Not enough for an extra link. So I was using the micro-adjustment on the clasp. That moves it about 3 mm. The bad news was that the spring bar broke into three pieces. I had the very small tip, the spring and the tube with only one end attached. It had not been properly crimped to hold together.

VERY Disappointed. I called the AD and they apologized and are sending me a new spring bar. Luckily I had a small enough diameter spring bar to use temporarily or I wouldn't have been able to wear my new watch!

Bottom line, I love the look and feel of the watch, but I am a little disappointed in the Quality Control. I would think the defective spring bar should have been caught.

Spring bars fail, that's why I keep extras. I wouldn't fret. Sweet watch, enjoy it. The tegimenting does make the steel darker
