    New member, new Sinn

Hello everyone, I am a new member to this forum and thought I would introduce myself. I have not been a watch collector in the past but with the purchase of my new Sinn 104 St Sa A I can see that changing. I've actually only owned 2 watches from 1973 until now. First was a Seiko dive watch I bought at the PX on McMurdo station in Antartica in 1973. I wore that watch every day until it was damaged in a motorcycle accident in the early 90's. I then bought a Zenith El Primero Chronograph that has been on my wrist ever since. My Zenith is in bad need of a full service and running a little erratically so I'm putting it away until I can get it serviced.

Today I just ordered myself the Sinn and I'm not sure why but I'm really excited for its arrival next week. I'm so excited I'm already think about what to get next. I'm not sure what it is about the Sinn but it has me so fired up I joined the forum and will be reading and learning everything I can before my next purchase. I think I just became a watch enthusiast!

Welcome to the family. You’ve just passed the point of no return. If money is no issue, there would be a few more Sinn in my collection. Namely the 156, 556 Anniversary, T2, and a 903....

Currently owns a 103st acrylic. It’s getting more wrist time than my Rolex ceramic GMT Master II, Oris Diver 65 and 2nd gen Seiko Monster...

You are probably right. Guess I'm lucky I suffer from lack of money to help constrain my enthusiasm .

Congrats on the Sinn, phenomenal brand. And now you are as screwed as the rest of us are here......Your friends will start to hate you because all you will talk about is ETA vs Sellita vs movmements, which shade of blue looks better on a dive watch, do you really need a COSC cert and a host of other (to them) mind numbing topics. Your bank account will drain. You will find yourself becoming a hermit, locked in your home fondling your watches while calling them "My precious"......

That's kind of what I'm afraid of, done the same thing in other hobbies. I must maintain control!

No I got the black dial. Both are beautiful but somehow a black dial just says "Sinn" to me.
