    Non Sinn GSG9 Watch?

I thought Sinn was the exclusive provider.:-S Reminds me of the "Navy Seal" watches.

You may well have thought so, but why?

Neither Sinn, nor anyone on the forum here (to the best of my knowledge) have ever stated that Sinn are the exclusive supplier to the GSG9 ... :-S

Having said that, I am not sure that the watch shown by you is genuine. I am sure that some Chinese manufacturer would not be terrified to put a GSG9 logo on a watch ... if the world's armies ran on the watches touted as "military issue" on eBay, we'd see little nenemy action at all.

I guess because the EZM2 is called the official watch of the GSG9 in underwater tactical operations. Sinn makes no secret that the ezm2 was used by the GSG9 since 1997. Sinn has since introduced other models with the GSG9 logo on them. Sinn has allowed GSG-9 technical personnel to design dials themselves. I would think that the GSG9 would be fairly protective of their insignia and not allow numerous watch companies to use it. Because of these reasons I don't think it's an off base assumption to think that Sinn was the exclusive watch for the GSG9.

I would think that if it was genuine GSG9 kit it would have a depth rating greater than 100m and the "Hour, Min, and Sec" on the chrono hands would be in German.

Take a closer look on ebay.de and search for GSG 9, you´ll find a lot of watches with the GSG 9 insignia, but all these watches never have seen the GSG9 "ground" at Hangelar :-D :-D

Oliver Wittau (brand name Oliver Witteaux) sold some on ebay and is still advertising with his Bund and GSG9 watches. Nickname on ebay: Uhrenhimmel. Here´s one of them:

Well, to me it seems that the GSG 9 emblem is not a "protected trade mark" so everybody is invited to jump in. Apart from that Sinn is an official supplier of the GSG 9 Maritime Einheit not to the Grenzschutzgruppe 9 (GSG 9) which covers more tactical and logistic units.
