    Only one Sinn!

I am sure this is somewhere on here but couldn't locate exactly what I am asking so here goes...

I only want one Sinn, budget is not a concern, and it has to do everything. Diving (I dive no deeper than 100ft), casual dress, professional dress, etc. I understand and expect to change straps so that isn't an issue either. I have an 856 UTC now but it lacks the wrist presence I was hoping for. Ofcourse I am aware beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I value everyones opinion.

Only 1 then it has to be the 103st

    Re: Only one Sinn!

I recently opted for the Sinn 103 st DIAPAL for an all around sportswatch. I figured it covered all the bases - dive, chronograph, GMT, and has some nifty teutonic overengineering with the inert gas filled case and diapal...

I'll go the extreme opposite direction: EZM2 Hydro with silver bezel. It'll dive down to any depth, and on the right strap, slip under any cuffs. Unlike the rather proud 17mm height of the 103, the EZM2 is a slim 11.5mm. Tough on a GGB or NATO, it approaches elegance on leather. Haven't had it on any croc or 'gator strap, but I'm sure it could handle it with aplomb. Here's one of my favorite shots from a night out:

Hmm, looking at the specs, I see that both the 856 and EZM2 (and 103) for that matter are all almost the exact same diameter, 103 is a lot taller, but the 856 and EZM2 are almost identical. You might want to peek at the EZM2B. Definitely more wrist presence, but similar simple design as the EZM2. Won't be as elegant of course .

Hmm, never really thought of the 103 as a dive watch, but given the 200m depth rating would definitely get it done. Also fits all the other requirements. It is quite a nice piece on the stainless band and does any leather proud. No probs with a cuff, unless you like very snug cuffs. I love my 103st, one of my all time favorites, and an absolute classic.

If only 1 Sinn, it has to be the quintessential Sinn U1, the classic Sinn! Cheers, Bill P

    Re: Only one Sinn!

If you're actually going to be using it diving I would definitely go with one of the U-series watches, U1, U2, UX, etc. I would go with the silver bead blasted finish for more versatility. This will be perfect for diving and sporty/casual dress. I'm also surprised how well my UX on a bracelet can handle being worn with a suit, but I wouldn't wear it with a tux.
