Pleased to meet you + Flieger 356

    Good afternoon all.
Or morning by the way, it depends !

I am currently looking for my new watch, and therefore obviously checking Sinn line-up...
I am strongly interested in this brand thanks to all the comments I used to read on the net, but I have to say that living in France, I am not able to try one on my wrist since the brand Sinn is not distributed here !
The reason for this incoherence is I think the partnership there was before between Sinn and Bell & Ross, which used to propose in France roughly the same models but B&R branded.
    So it will be a 100% on-line purchasing !

After many google search, I thought about WatchUSeek, and just registered myself here, even if I do not own a Sinn yet... O|

I must say that my favourite one is the 356 flieger (the black dial version). Classic / vintage look, chronograph function, day, date, black dial (which I do not own yet), elegant but not "showie", tool-watch aspects...

In order to get a better idea about it, and particularly about the size, I would like to ask you to post some pictures of it, beside some "famous" watches, like an omega speedmaster for instance, or any other watches you may have !

Of course any comments or opininon are welcome !

Thanks for your help and kind regards.

Welcome to our forum, Bianconero! I hope you will enjoy the time you spend here!

Where in Francer are you located ... does your usual place of residence preclude a trip to any of the neighboring countries which are blessed with Sinn depots?
    Cheers,

You obviously don't realise that the French never leave France! Every year France is full of Dutch, English, Belgians, Swiss and Germans but the French don't have the decency to reciprocate and visit these countries themselves. Staying at home is a national pastime.

However, on to the watch. I've just ordered a 356 from Neil at chronomaster.co.uk and, as he lives near to me, he very kindly brought one to my house for me to try on.

It's 39mm I think but it actually seemed quite compact for a chronograph. I was worried about the thickness which is about 16mm but it felt very comfortable on my wrist and I have some lovely slim watches such as a PP Calatrava 5127R and a Nomos Tangent.

Like our French friend I too hate the over-fussiness of some chronographs and the simplicity of the 356 with its plain bezel is exactly what I was looking for. I've ordered it with sapphire front and back and am expecting delivery fairly soon.

I live in Orleans, which is around one hundred and twenty kilometers in the south of paris.
As you pointed out, I will have for sure the opportunity to visit some places where Sinn is distributed (despite what Frank just said, english sense of humour about frenchies... ha ha ).
I will go to Spain for a few days at mid-of-August for instance. Any Sinn in spanish jewelleries according to your knowledge ?

    Thanks for your answers

In my opinion, the 356 is one of Sinn's cleanest, most readable chronographs and it is a classic size. I would go for it.
