    Question on Watch Time Setting

This may be a silly question...

When setting the time, such as changing time zones etc, on an automatic watch (such as mu U2), can the watch be set forward or backwards?

I would think that once the crown has been pulled out, the direction the hands are moved is irrelavant. I have always set watches in a clockwise motion and I am sure someone told me to set them that way years ago.
    Thanks
    Al

Re: Question on Watch Time Setting

i read somewhere that the gmt hand can be set in either direction. the 2893 is a common gmt movement and allows bidirection adjustment.

the clockwise-only thing was for older, vintage movements. if you want to play it safe you can continue to do it in a clockwise direction, but it is not necessary.

Yes, for U2 there are only direction for GMT hand, cause other direction for the crown winding is the day adjusting.

I wear my U2 every day and I must set it no often. If, than I turn the "normal" hand clockwise. This is a safety way, as Denizen wrote before.
