    Re-fitting my U1 bracelet - help wanted

Hi all, is it me or is it really difficult to fit the bracelet to a U1? I've been wearing the rubber but fancied a change back to the bracelet. What a nightmare! Spent hours so far and got nowhere - about to give up. Can anyone give me some hints on how to do it?

I changed my UX and U1000 bracelet in minutes.

Do you have the tools it came with?
I know nothing about watches, just what I like.

Yep have tools. I have finally managed to do it thanks and, now I've practised, I'm quite quick at it! Best to have the watch back to you, arrange the pin so that you can line it up flush with the bottom lug and then, whilst pushing in with your thumb, push the top of the pin in to place using the tool. The bracelet is awesome looking but I've got a couple of Gunny straps coming so will post some pics soon - think they'll look good as well.

a little tape on the backside of the lugs will keep the scratches off, until you become adept at it.

Must remember to do that, thanks for the reminder David.

I've found swearing a lot seems to help, as well. Not sure what it is, but Sinn bracelets always seem to fight back more than any other brand. More than once, I've had to invoke the 10 minute rule, where I've been so frustrated that I just have to put everything down & walk away for a few minutes before I hurl everything out the window...

LOL! Know what you mean and walking away does help. I've found the rubber strap tricky as well. I find the rubber in the lugs is very tight and you can think you've got the spring bar in place only to find that one end isn't. On one occasion this happened and I looked down a few hours later and noticed that it was adrift - good job I wasn't diving!
Loving my U1 SDR on the bracelet at the moment.

definite rule of thumb: always give the strap a good sharp tug afterwards to be sure the spring bar has fully seated into the hole, especially with that rubber strap. It always need a hard shove towards the case in order to find those lug holes.

and some alcohol? But not on the strap.
Yes, Sinn products have tight tolerances, and these can make strap swapping a chore until you get used to it.
