Retail Sinn - Brick and Mortar in Canada

    Sinn folks:

    A delightful event today.

I went into J. Vair Anderson today to idly look at watches and they are now carrying Sinn. Bought from Germany, not via watchbuys.

If any of you have stumbled across similar, let us know.

Their website shows Sinn too: https://www.jvairanderson.com/luxury-watches/

How did the prices compare to WB?

I buy pretty much all my stuff at JVair, great shop

Bryn is the guy who is bringing in the new stuff including the new Moser display, nice to see some of these brands in person. They just got the new Seiko LX line in as well, I am being tempted by the SNR031..

The prices are awesome. My used 103 that I turned hoops to get here would have been . . .$300 Cdn less than brand new from Vair, once VAT and all was in.

    Now I'm drooling over the 103 diapal, the ezm . . .

Glad to finally have some competition in North America!!
Hopefully this will result in better prices.
" Two mighty torches of flame like the wings of a yellow bird of fire flew over a field, covered a field with a brilliant yellow bloomings of flame, and in the midst of it, white as a ghost, white as the white of Melville's Moby Dick, white as the shrine of the Madonna in half the churches of the world, this slim angelic mysterious ship of stages rose without sound out of its incarnantion of flame and began to ascend slowly into the sky, slow as Melville's Leviathan might swim, slowly as we might swim upward in a dream looking for the air............."

I'll be really interested to see - buying from Page & Cooper in the UK was cheaper than watchbuys ...

Even if it was a wash, I'd be willing to fly to calgary from the US ... I've not gotten a warm fuzzy from WB, their responses to questions are terse with seemingly zero thought (if they answer), and they claim to be cheap because no shop, but then are doing all these road shows. When you tell a retailer you're going to buy a few things from them, you're ready, and ask a few questions I'd expect an opening "thanks for your interest, let's partner" and a little effort.

Rob @ Topper's is a great example - i have no idea how many questions he gets but it's probably orders of magnitude more than Tim @ WB and Rob is always friendly, engaging, patient, and ready to talk. Getting a single word out of Tim is its own victory.

Watchbuys is complacent, lazy, and obviously not hungry. I'd definitely prefer to deal with someone who appreciates the business.

So, yeah, fly to calgary? in.

    That is fantastic!
Between having an AD in Alberta and a great service centre for Sinns at Roldorf in Vancouver it sure is easy to justify diving deep into the brand as a Canadian!

Louis Black in Toronto used to carry Sinn, but have dropped it over the last few years I guess as it's not listed on their web site any longer. I personally bought 2 Sinn watches there, and they were always very good to deal with.

Glad to see there's another dealer in Canada.

    Cheers, Al
