    Shooting while wearing a Sinn

I plan to go shooting today and wonder if my Sinn U2 EZM5 would be fine or if I should change it out for a quartz. Mostly pistol today. I shoot right handed and would wear the watch on the left hand.

I wear an automatic to shoot all the time. 9mm, 5.56mm, and 7.62mm, and .50cal. Never had any problems. That said, probably not advisable and a watchmaker might spit his coffee across the room if you said something like that.

Your watch = you take responsibility if it breaks. Should be fine, though.

Well I have owned my Sinn U2 for 12 years, I wear it daily and visit the range 2 or 3 times per week. I shoot shotguns (Benelli M1 super 90 and M2 Practical with slug), rifles and pistols / revolvers from .22, 9mm, .357 (revolver and rifle), 45/70 and .308 and have never had any worries! These are really tough tool watches.
Last night I wore my Sinn U1000 at the range and it too was fine.

Good stuff, thanks gents. I’ll proudly wear my U2 to the range today.

Shooting, to me, falls into "beater" territory where watches are concerned, and I'd probably opt for my G-Shock 5600.

That said, I'd probably end up shooting with whatever I was wearing at the time and not give it a second thought...

I wear my Sinn’s and other Autos including my Sea Dweller while shooting all the time, never an issue.

Glad to see a few others who do the same, had a couple of posts / photos flagged and removed because a gun or knife could be seen with the watch - began to wonder about the site.

    Shooting while wearing a Sinn

I completely messed up the accuracy of my old 856 by the vibrations of pushing a shopping cart over some rough pavement. I constantly have to remind myself that despite these watches having a rugged “tool watch” aesthetic they’re very delicate precision instruments at the core.

I don’t see how wearing a watch on the off hand while shooting is very severe at all. Riding my unsuspended bicycle over a rough patch with my watch would seem much worse.

On the shooting hand, ok that’s something.

Hmmm... if I am wearing a Marathon GSAR or Sinn EZM 3... I expect to shoot with it on.

You may be fine. You may not be fine.
But this begs the question of why? Do you really feel incomplete without a watch on for a short amount of time?
As for myself, I shoot Sporting clays and Skeet and if you think a scratch on your bracelet is bad, try scratching a beautiful walnut stock....
