Sinn 104: Slight give/clicking in rotating bezel -- is this normal?

    Hi,

I just received my first Sinn watch, a 104 that I bought used. Very excited! Since this was not mentioned in any of the hundreds of reviews I watched, I wanted to reach out here: Is the bezel supposed to have a bit of give if pressed down on? When pressing down on it there is a little bit of give and it makes a faint clicking sound when pressing down on the bezel. It feels solid and like this is intentional but I just wanted to check as my experience with rotating bezel watches is limited.

I am also noticing that the day in the day window is not entirely aligned with the window -- but I've seen that this is already a topic of discussion.

    Thanks for the input!

My 104 and U1 - both new this year - have a tiny amount of up-and-down play. It’s only noticeable if deliberately pressed down, not during rotation of the bezel, and is normal. The bezel is secured with screws and not the more common press fit.

Good to hear! That makes sense. I had a feeling this was the case since the give feels solid and intentional. Thanks for the info!

Hmm, my 104 is two years old and I play with the bezel a lot but it has no clicking or downward play. Might want to check if there’s a missing ball bearing under the bezel. God help you if you drop one on a carpet, be careful when removing the bezel.

I have a 2019 model too and can confirm there is a similar “play” in the bezel. Full disclosure I play with the bezel a lot too.

I too have a 2019 104, and yes, the play is there, though I had never noticed it until reading this thread. Seems totally normal.

Mine has the same movement and clicking sound, totally normal. My Sea-Dweller 116600 has even more downward play.
I love the feel of the 104's bezel action!
