    Sinn 104 v 356 for Small Wrist

I am interested in both of these watches, but I do not have access to them in order to try on them on.

I have read various things about their respective wearability. The 356 at 38.5mm is smaller than the 104 at 41mm. But the 356 is much thicker than the 104. Both have a relatively short LTL.

Which of these would be better for a small wrist? Has anyone with a small wrist owned both of these watches and been able to compare? Thanks.

What’s your wrist size? Tough to say without a wrist to compare

    6" and a flat ~48-50mm wide.

I think both have a 46mm lug to lug. I haven’t handled a 356 in person but I think the lugs on the 104 have more of a downward slope than those on the 356, which could help in hugging the wrist making it wear smaller than how you’d think a 41mm watch would wear.

The 556 would probably wear smaller than the 104 or 356 if you’re interested in that.

6” should be able to pull of either okay though. I think TheUrbanGenty on YouTube has a 6” wrist and he loves his 104.

Yeah, I think the shorter lugs of both, and the more sloped lugs of the 104 as you point out, would really help me a lot.

The 556 is a better size for me, but I am pretty drawn to the design elements of the 356 and 104. The 556, 356 and 104 are all very different watches.

    The thread link was helpful.

    Thank you.

    Sinn 104 v 356 for Small Wrist

The 103 with the same case as the 104 on my 6.25” (16cm) wrist. This is a close up shot using my phone as well so it’ll exaggerate the watch/wrist ratio a bit. 104 is totally doable and won’t look stupid on your wrist I bet.

Just to add that the 103 wears visually smaller than both my ceramic GMT-Master II and Oris Diver 65 despite logging at 41mm as opposed to 40mm of both of those watches.

With your small wrist, you should always look for lugs that slope downward lower than the caseback. This will always help a watch to wear a couple of mms. Smaller than the size would indicate. The 104 does this very well and fits my 6 3/4 wrist fine. At 6" though, you might be gambling. Personally, I would be looking for a 36mm that I could love.

    Thank you. That looks good.

I am guessing the shorter LTL contributes to the 103 wearing smaller than the two watches you mention. I have an Oris 65 Heritage and am happy with the way it wears on me. If the 103 wears smaller than that, there would be no issue.

Thanks. I agree and have found that the lugs usually make a bigger difference than the case size.

I typically try to go with 37-39mm, with 36mm and 40mm being the minimum and maximum case sizes. 48mm is my absolute max LTL. But sometimes the watches do not cooperate and force me to make an exception on the case size.

As said the lugs, especially on a strap, make the 104 wear smaller than a typical 41.
