    Sinn 356/7750 Valjoux

Does the movement in this watch really use a plastic brake piece and a plastic bearing for the center wheel?

It's an unmodified 7750, with standard parts.

the Val 7750 do not use the plastic brake since quiet a long time now
they have done the switch when they upgrade the movement from 17 to 25 jewels in the late 90s

    Thanks jean-michel.

That's good to hear. I was having a hard time imagining that being the case at this price point. Although, with as little as I know about watches I knew it was certainly possible. I found the information in a TZ article that must have been written before the change.
I need to find a description of the movement written after the changes were made.

And if they did, it was pretty much acceptable even if you don't like it. Lemania had a plastic part in the movements they were in older versions of the Speedy Pro. Just figured it was worth an FYI.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the info. How long has it been since the change or does the change only apply to Sinn watches using this movement and not the movement itself. Nevermind, I see that was already answered.
