Sinn 356 Sa UTC - watch stem repair?

    Hi all,

I dropped my Sinn 356 Sa UTC while the crown was in date-set position. It looks like the stem bent and so the crown is stuck and cannot be pushed in or pulled out. I don't think there is any damage to the movement as it seems to work fine though I haven't let it run for very long, just in case.

Any ideas about the best place to send it for repair? It is in warranty, but obviously this is not covered. Does anyone have experience with these guys? Watch Repair Experts - Watch Repairs USA I was told they were Sinn's authorized repair center, but it seems different from RGM (?). Any local recommendations would be good too, but not if they will want to service it too.

    Thanks for any assistance.

had the same thing happen to my U1, dropped on tile floor. watch kept running, albeit 30 per day slower. dropped it off at rgm, which is 20 minutes away from me, 4 wks later and $195 lighter, they replaced crown, stem and regulated. did a good job, but be prepared to wait.

    good luck

Thanks, I will probably end up just sending it there. I'm not sure I need the crown replaced in addition to the stem. But I will discuss it with them. The wait is no problem - too many watches already! I recently bought a 104 so that is keeping me occupied :)

Well, I mailed it to RGM. I'll let you all know the estimate for future reference (and Google searchers).
