Just picked up my first Sinn, this 356 with a gunmetal-ish brown ‘distressed’ dial and I think it’s absolutely wonderful. Always wanted to pick up a sinn, was considering a 104, 356 or a 556. but when I saw that hour glass was gonna release a limited edition, I knew it might be time to pick up my first Sinn. It’s a 100 pc limited edition sold only in Malaysia and Singapore.
For me the dial is unlike anything I’ve seen on a sinn, or any other watch for that matter. The way it shines in the light is just crazy.
It also comes with a carrying case like folio rather than a traditional watch box, might be something I use as a traveling watch pouch in future.
One slight negative is that some initial press releases put down the case material as titanium and this would have been a real winning combo. In fact the rep at hour glass thought it was titanium as well before I noted that it very clearly said ‘edelstahl’ on the caseback. It is also fairly expensive for a 356 without bracelet, coming in at about 2.6k USD. However none of this takes away from the fact that it’s really a special watch and the dial looks crazy in person.
Currently swapped out the Brownish/Greyish that comes with the watch for a Bonnetto Cinturini runner strap I had lying around. Any strap suggestions will be more than welcome.
Enough talk, here are some pics!
