Sinn 556I - Sellita or ETA?

    Good Afternoon all,

I have recently ordered a Sinn 556 as a gift to myself and will be receiving it tomorrow (Just in time!)

But I have a quick question about the movement. I've spoken to watchbuys sales rep. about it and even they are not sure if the movement is gonna be Sellita or ETA... (Told me Sellita made ETAs as well as their own movement and unfortunately, they weren't able to confirm anything for me)

So I looked around and saw some posts stating that ETA is still being used vs. Sellita began placing itself in the Sinn line-ups.

I am a novice in terms of movement - or fancy watches in general..

So can anyone share a word of advise about the movements? How to identify? Etc...? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you all!

    It's listed as ETA2824-2 on Sinn's website?

I do not know the answer to this, but yes, the web-site is showing that it will be an ETA 2824-2, which is a top-grade movement.

My Tudor Heritage Black Bay has the same movement, and it is super-accurate (Tudor does modify the movement, though).

You could ask Watchbuys to look for the ETA logo and number on the movement. It's pretty obvious under slight magnification.
