from Sinn 856 UTC to U1.. weight concern...

I've been enjoying my 856 UTC S bracelet for almost 3 years, and the "itch" came back again near Christmas season

So I'm interested in the tegimented U1 as the next stop.. I like everything about the U1, but the only concern I have is the weight.. after some research, the weight of U1 bracelet should be over 220grams (!), which sounds really heavy. Can anyone advise on this U1 bracelet weight concern?

FWIW, I own an 857 and a U1 (each on a bracelet) and initially it was quite an adj for me to get use to the 857. (My previous every day watch was a Hamilton Field Khaki on a canvas strap.). Big difference between those 2. Eventually I adjusted to the 857 and when I started rotating it and my U1 I really noticed little to no difference on the wrist. Nowadays it's more of a case of feeling naked with out wearing one of them. Hope this helps!

Thank you! 857 is already one step closer to U1 than 856.. Maybe it's ok for me too..

The U1 is a bit of a heavy beast however you choose to weigh it but it’s such a lovely watch that it’s more than worth the extra weight involved in switching from an 856.

If you’re worried about weight, bypass the U1 and go for the T1. I own both and IMO there’s no comparison in comfort...T1 for the win!
