Confused Sinn EZM1 ZUZ. Still a collectible or ... ?

Hello from a long time lurker, somewhat recent Sinner, definitely first time poster...

I have some questions for the more knowledgeable Sinn aficionados:
Is the Sinn EZM1 (ZUZ dial) still considered a highly collectible item, or has interest waned in recent years?
Are they "worth more" than other (3H, AR, LE) variants?
What would be a ballpark guesstimate value for a ZUZ on the market today?

I've done quite a bit of searching on various watch forums, but haven't found much info to go on as they don't seem to come up for sale very often. I've seen some people asking around $3K to $6K for LE or AR (and sometimes more for 3H), but haven't seen any "recent" indicators of market or collectible value for the ZUZ version EZM1.

Any insights, links, references, rants are welcome as long as they are informative (or entertaining).

    Thanks!

Last one sold was back in Aug-13 - https://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-...-a-903208.html and before then - FS: SINN EZM1 ZUZ rare Collectors watch FS and probably one or two more in that period, one went to a member here and the other was from Asia and was perhaps an unissued one.

Price-wise compare it to either an equally interesting vintage chronograph (Omega 'Grail', A38x Zeniths etc) or a modern high-street watch of arguably much less interest and it stands up well I think.

It's certainly rare, but it's both supply and demand that dictate price. I think it covers enough bases (Sinn, [para]military, issued, Lemania 5100) to remain desirable across more than just the niche collector.

It's the ZTZ which is really rare.... ;)

In the history of Sinn and more particularly the EZM series, it is interesting as it was the first incarnation of what is now quite an iconic watch (imo).

interest seems to have waned a bit in the last few years, but remains high in isolated german watch collector communities.

Personally, given similar service histories and condition, I'd swap my LE+(funds or watch) for a ZUZ every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Which funds and watches would be a tough decision. Hopefully I won't ever have to make one because it would be a ball breaker.

The fact you hardly ever see one come up for sale tells me they're still quite collectable. I gave a NIB LE, a fat stack, and a pint of blood for this beauty a few years ago...

Rare doesn't begin to describe that watch. Only 3 of the 9 surviving ZTZ EZM1's had their crowns on the right.

Thanks for the links & insight.

I realize "supply" is low, and was curious what the "demand" might be nowadays. Aside from the occasional FSOT, I haven't really seen much WTB on these.

Thanks, I tend to use that configuration for all my center hand chrono pics:
