    Sinn EZM9-Everday wear tool watch....?

Over the recent past, (in my quest to find my ultimate everyday watch)...I’ve been digging through the forums and Internet to find all the information I can about the EZM9. I have found some good stuff here on WUS but have a few remaining questions from current or previous EZM9 owners.
What I am mainly concerned about is every day wear comfortability. Even though I have a 7.25 inch wrist, I tend to find 40-42mm (with 50mm lug to lug) watch size as ideal for me. I’m concerned about it’s 44 mm case size but love everything else about it. I’ve owned the 757 and while I thoroughly enjoyed its quality of build and legibility, I found it too cumbersome and heavy on my wrist for regular wear. Looking at the specs of the EZM9, I realize it’s much lighter weight and thinner than the 757 so I am assuming and hoping it wears different. I know that asking a question about Comfort is tough to answer considering all wrist sizes and shapes are different. However, I would be thankful for some feedback(positive and negative)from current or previous EZM9 owners regarding how it wears on a daily basis and overall thoughts about it.

Just for a little background, My current watch rotation is Sinn EZM 3F, Damasko DA44 and a Guinand duo graph. All in the 40-42mm case size.

Re: Sinn EZM9-Everday wear tool watch....?

I can highly recommend the EZM9. It was my first Sinn and like yourself I had a 757 as well. My thoughts on the 757 parallel yours. Great design and build quality but itís quite thick and heavy. Maybe if the case back wasnít so thick it would have allowed it to lay flatter on wrist and be more comfortable. This is where the EZM9 shines with a very thin and flat case back the lugs are able to hug the wrist. Unlike the 757 sitting on top with its thick case back. To put it another way, itís like having a 50 Cent peace on your wrist vs two quarters stacked on your wrist. I hope this make sense.

    Now to the ďProsĒ

Tegimented Titanium is beautiful. No other color like it in the watch world. Plus itís very scratch resistant. Iíve had mine for well over 21 months, Iím the third owner, and it still looks brand new. Even the lugs, with multiple strap changes show no sign of wear.

Being titanium and thin, itís ridiculously comfortable. Only my T1ís beat it in comfort do to the curved mid case and once again, thin case back.

The Top Grade SW200 keeps very good time +5 SPD. In my U1 Pro itís +1 SPD so ymmv.

The crown is the best Iíve ever felt. Like butta. And the crown teeth match the bezels design.

Like the 757, the bezel action is bidirectional with very positive clicks (60) with zero slop. Speaking of bezel, the lumed sapphire bezel is a work of art.

Itís an EZM so dial and hands are ultra legible and the double AR sapphire just disappears.

Lume is very good too. Iíll charge it at 10pm and itís still readable at 6am.

    Cons: no drilled lugs.

Conclusion: The EZM9 could easily be the ultimate 3 hand under the radar EDC.

If youíre into nato style straps I highly recommend the Prometheus Design Werks. The blasted titanium hardware is a great match.

ToxicNATOís Rogue with black hardware is a great option too.

The Sinn silicone looks great too.

If you have anymore questions please donít hesitate to ask

    Shannon,
Thanks a bunch for taking the time to provide a thoughtful mini review!! It’s much appreciated. It was really helpful in describing the fit vs the 757 as well.
Did you have opportunity to try yours on before purchase, or buy sight unseen...?

My attempt to illustrate how the case back is recessed in relationship to the lug tips

In conjunction with the large flat case back and the curvature of the lugs, the EZM9 is very comfortable.

    And one more sexy pose

    Ok-yeah.
Thanks for those two picture of the case without the strap. That really gives it some great perspective. I can see how it hugs the wrist.
Specs show it lighter than my EZM3..which is a major bonus.

    This is looking promising...

I started looking to get an idea of what I might pay for a pre-owned.
The EZM9 seems tougher to find than the EZM 1.1!!
Not much happening on the used market...and Im not sure Im ready to pull the trigger at full price. Even though Watchbuys is currently out of stock.
