SINN Lufthansa Cargo 747 - any worthy info?

Found a SINN Lufthansa Cargo 747 up for auction. From 2010; box and all parts are original.
    Starting price: approx. €1350 / USD 1550

Can anyone give me any info if the watch is worth above price?
Any other tips about the watch to think about?

    Thanks very much!

It would be my first SINN, a brand that I have had my eye on for quite some time

    We should be clear.

I guess you mean the Sinn 144 Lufthansa Cargo.

There is also the Sinn 857 Lufthansa Cargo.

It is difficult to predict what the watch market will do
or put a value on these watches, but if the watch is
in reasonable condition you probably won't find it used
    today for much less.

    Thanks,

    Yup. It's the 144.

    Any experience with it?

From what I have read, no one is really unsatisfied with the 144. If the price won't go sky high (pun intended) it will be my next wrist wear

If I remember correctly (read it somewhere and cannot find it now) the interior bezel has to do with the freight loading gross weight and altitude relation for navigation.

Cool. I hadn't looked close enough at this model to notice that it was different. Hopefully one of the resident pilots can add more info.

For comparison, here's my regular old 144 GMT:

As an airplane burns off fuel and becomes lighter, the optimum altitude (where it flies the longest distance for the least fuel) rises.
That is the reason why on a long flight the aircraft usually climbs in steps to its final cruising altitude.

The scale on the inside of this 144 model was meant to give a very rudimentary indication of this relationship for the 747-200F that German Cargo operated at that time.

The scale inside the regular 144 models could be used to calculate heart rate or speed.

The 144 is a fine watch - and I particularly like the titanium GMT models - but don't believe the (stainless steel) German Cargo version is worth a premium.

And please keep in mind that as per WUS rules we are not supposed to do valuations here.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.
