    Question Sinn Mods

Just curious if anyone has done any Sinn mods? If so, let's see some pictures

    not sure too many exist...

It's hard to imagine swapping in a MOD dial, or plongeur hands....
The beauty of Sinn is the beautifully developed dials and hands and cases: I can't see taking a classic 142 or 156 and making it into a franken.
    Can't alter perfection :) imho.

There are still some nonbelievers! I read about changed chrono hands (white -> red) and 656 hands in another Sinn watch (cant remember the model).

I also read about Sinn offering alternative dial printings but havent heard about a moded dial by now.

    Kind regards Philipp

Exclamation How Ya Like Me Now?!

this is what i've always wanted! i discussed the possibility of a 103/303 hybrid some months ago. some were intrigued, more than a few pooh-pooh'd the whole idea. I LOVE IT and I'M THE ONE THAT MATTERS!

Nice looking watch! Was it hard to convince Sinn to modify the 303?

    Kind regards Philipp

    well...

once a long time ago, before the time of Mr. Schmidt you could actually order custom dials from Sinn. There was a European fellow on TZ (Henk Hoving? Hartmut?) who had a yellow dial 103 from the factory. You could also order custom hand colors, bezels etc., but this has been phased out as Sinn has grown and tried to modernized production. Sort of like the die off of small production American muscle cars/or cars with unique options.

    wamanning,
I've no interest in chronograph wristwatches, but I think the result is tasteful and admirable! And entirely in the spirit of Sinn.

One of my friends in Essen has a brown dial 103, a ltd. edition for his local dealer. It looks great, I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of it!

    Wamanning, your 103 looks fantastic!

I have a 103 myself which I'm going to have slightly modded soon. Mine has a polished case and bracelet which I'm going to have beadblasted. I'm also thinking of possibly doing the white > red chrono hands ( hours & minutes).

I have to agree with the statement about the Sinn faces, in my opinion, they are as close as you can get to perfection on a watch face.
