Sinn T2 help - how to remove bracelet

Just got my Sinn T2 and wanted to remove the bracelet for a strap. But I am not sure how and do not want to damage it. The end links are braced against the case and no drilled lugs. You can get to the pins from the back of the bracelet but it does not seem to want to come off. Thanks.

I don't have a T2, but tight fitting end links can be a challenge on other
models. Here is my suggestion. Put the watch face down on the back
of a mouse pad. Use a narrow fork spring bar tool to retract one end
of the spring bar. Stick the end of a wire/plastic tie (used to close up
a bread bag) into the space. That keeps the end of the spring bar from
extending into the lug hole. Release that end of the spring bar and
retract the other end while pulling out on the bracelet. It can still be
difficult if the spring bars are a little too long or the ends don't retract
smoothly. I hope you don't have that problem with a new watch.

    Thanks,

rationaltime has given you a clear and easy-to-follow method for spring bar removal. The idea of the wire/plastic tie is excellent. I have not done that, but will in the future.

For spring bar removal I use a Burgeon 6767F spring bar tool. IMHO, it is perfect for removing spring bars on any watch that does not have drilled lugs. Cheers, Bill P.

That looks like a good tool. I have a similar one but that looks better.

I ended up taking to a jeweler and he removed the Bracelet ($5). Now I am good to change out the straps.

Anyone looking for a T2 bracelet?

    Thanks

Rob, if in doubt, taking the watch to your local jeweler is always a good idea!

I would suggest that you keep the bracelet just in case you want to sell the watch in the future. In my case, I would not consider a Sinn without a bracelet. Cheers, Bill P.

Wonder why the lugs aren't drilled, and if they could be done so during a service trip? Never had a watch with drilled lugs until my U2, and not sure I want a watch without them now!
