    Sinn tool size

Does anyone know the size of the screwdriver and punch on the tool that comes with the Sinn watches?

    Thanks

Mine is 1.2 mm for the screwdriver and 0.9 mm for the punch.

those tips always seem to break off: I just tossed 3 or 4 of them, no tips left.

IMO, it's worth spending the extra on a decent make - Bergeon or similar. A broken screwdriver and a chewed up screw head just isn't worth it for the money saved.

I quibbled with my AD when I did not receive a tool with my u1, response was that they did not send them with watches with bracelets. I was surprised at this but sinn then confirmed it also. I don't see why anyone would be more likely to want to swap straps in they didn't have the bracelet. If anyone has bought a new sinn on a bracelet recently I would be interested in hearing if they received the tool.

At the risk of being seen to gloat (and I really don't intend to), when I bought a new 856 nearly 2 years ago it came with the tool. A few weeks later Sinn exchanged the bracelet, which obviously suffered from faulty heat treatment. The replacement arrived with a second tool, plus another bottle of thread locking compound. The second bracelet's screws were so tight that I managed to slightly bend the tip of a Bergeon screwdriver before I resorted to more scientific methods. I suspect that the Sinn tool would have fared less well.

James: since we're both in the UK, if you'd like my unused spare Sinn tool please PM me.
