Sinn U1 SDR unpackaging! Loads of pics...

Spite that UPS late last night changed the day of delivery to Thursday, because "The address is in a remote area and deliveries are not made daily...", there was a delivery guy showing up at work today! A nice surprise but was it really necessary to fool me that way?

Had to put the box away in my lunch room while waiting for the lunch hour, daaaamn how slow time passed until then.

Well, I'm a real sucker for long unveiling threads, so here goes:

What's this, Oyster cases? Could it be...?

Of course not, no Rolex box looks like this. And why would I post that here...?

Let's turn the box over. Yeah, Sinn!

Certificate, books and other crap that you can't wear on the wrist.

    Another box.

There it is! Now we're talkin'!

A U1 SDR! German submarine steel, oh boy!

Adjusting the bracelet was child's play.

Took some pics from my balcony when I got home:

    Comparison with the turtle-cased Seiko:

I must say that the AR-coating is fantastic on this watch!

Undoubtedly a very nice watch, more impressions will come as soon as I have landed a bit. Thanks for watching!

    Cheers!

There are only two kinds of people in the world, the ones that own Sinn U1, U1W, U2, UX, U212 and U-Unlimited, and ones that don’t.

I received mine on thursday, didn't have time to take pictures for the moment. I took the full tegiment one.
The watch is great, exactly what I was expecting, a real tough watch, impressive and very nice to wear also.

    Congratulations for yours!

Congratulations, Daniel! Your new U1 SDR looks great! IMHO, the U1, in either the SDR or regular form is a Sinn classic! Enjoy! Cheers, Bill P.

Congratulations on your new U1. Beautiful watch. I currently have mine on Sinn rubber but the bracelet is really nice too. Wear it in good health.

That's the stuff of legend. One of the best Sinns ever made and one of the coolest watch designs ever. German tool with a little color and personality.

Exactly! Sold my Breitling Steelfish and bought this one, a move i surely won't regret. Not that there was anything wrong with the 'fish, a really solid diver too, but this one feels more like a true diver's watch in all aspects! Not that I ever dive, but still...
