    sinn U1 size question

i read that the U1 wears small for a 44MM watch. sometime in the future, i might want to get a U1.

i'm not so concerned about the diameter of the U1 . watches tend to lay flat on my wrist. i'm concerned about the lug to lug measurements ( top to bottom). i have a 6.5 inch wrist and an omega PO 42 MM (or Doxa 750 ) fits me fine---b/c the lug to lug measurements on those watches are approx. 48MM.

I've read the U1 is 50MM lug to lug. do the lugs curve down?

My question is...will the U1 be to big for me?

    thanks for your help....

The lug-lug on the U series is 50,5mm. Yes, the lugs curve down. I have an U2, which is slightly thicker than an U1.
You should not have any problems wearing an U1.
Also, the case, caseback and bezel have nicely rounded edges, so it is nice to wear, no sharp edges to cut into the wrist.
It is a heavy watch, so it is important what you choose to wear it with. Rubber is very "sweaty" in a hot climate. The steel brace is OK, but I think the links are too large. Personally, I prefer mesh, I got the 3.2mm mesh. It is perfect!

I think you will find it does not come off as large as some divers. It is substantial in a subtle way if that makes sense.

Definitely wears smaller than the dimensions suggest, yet retains some great wrist presence. Sadly mine is off to Sinn for a warranty repair in the next few days, but here it is on a 6.75" wrist:

Here are some! 3.2mm mesh from Lonestar
As you can see, I wear mine not as close to the hand as Dave.
