Sinn UX ETA quartz life span

Gents, i like to hear out any first hand experience how lasting are the ETA quartz movements. Any idea if Sinn willing replace those movements and what are the likely cost charged.
    TQ!

The movement itself? I donít think the watch has been out long enough to know. Mine is almost 8 years old & still on its first battery.

Movement should be fine for the life of the watch, unless something goes haywire. The battery is said to last approx 7 years. Mine lasted about 8. The UX (all hydros) MUST go to Germany for service.

Not the battery life that i am asking. The life span of ETA quartz other model like EZM2. I wonder if she last for 20-30 years down the road.

That’s a tough one to answer. Maybe email ETA?
I know my Seiko Arnie was still going strong when I sold it 6 months ago and it was 36 years old!

Considering this movement is more expensive than a Top Grade SW200/ETA 2824-2 I’m guessing $800+ for movement & service. Probably more if you want a new dial & hands.

Again, an email to Sinn could confirm this exact cost ;)

    Cheers

I am amazed the quartz movement is more expensive than an ETA please give me an overview of why.

That is what I was told by Rob at Watchbuys. We were discussing a possibility of a blue dialed UX ;)

IIRC the UX has always been more expensive than a U1. A new UX starts at $2,360 and a U1 starts at $2,080. Part of the extra cost is the movement.

The quartz movement in the UX is a thermocompensated COSC certified movement.
