    Some rare birds (Japan)

This dial for the 156 was made by German manufacturer Cador.
Rumour had it that it was a special edition for the Japanese market.

Yesterday I was browsing Google's image cache and found some pictures on koyanagi-tokai.com.
The model was named Sinn 156B.Sony.fc

They also had some nice shots of the 356 EuroFlieger

Here is another special edition of the 156 Mil
"Project Take Off - Sinn Special - Pacific Crossing of the Zero 1995"

    Best regards,

    Thomas

Thumbs Up Re: Some rare birds (Japan)

An interesting set of pics Thomas,
I especially liked the Euro Flieger, what a clear dial.
Is this a regular model?, or just a limited edition for another market?
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Not a regular model, a limited Japan-only edition, IIRC, and that was quite a few years ago, too.

    Thanks,

That shows how well this model ages, it's really timeless.
If you had told me that it was a recent model, I would have believed you.

    Cheer,

    Daddel.

I think the EuroFlieger was a limited edition of 300 pieces and the white
156 was a 60 piece edition. Both were Japanese market only.

Maybe somebody fluent in Japanese can tell us more about it.
Because this was a cached (outdated) version of the website the watches
are no longer displayed on the current page. You can find it this way:

Start a Google image search for 156b_hikaku03s.jpg
Click on the pic displayed as the result

Maybe this very long url also does the trick:

    Best regards,

Is it just me. The 356 EuroFighter looks more like a 756 based then 356 based?

    Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing.
