    Two version in EZM1

    Hi Sinn specs,

What is the appearance difference between a late “Ar” version (SuperLumiNova), and a “3H” with tritium in EZM1?:-S

    Dose any specs have scans?
    Many Thanks:thanks
    Thomas

Also I would like to add to the question, were the Ar models exclusive to receive optional COSC chronometer certifications?

The Ar (which stands for the Argon gas filling) models were the ones with SuperLuminova dials, whereas the 3H models had a Tritium dial and hands.

As for COSC, I don't think every Ar EZM1 was COSC certified automatically, mine ran about 15 secs/day fast.

Very few Ar's were COSC certified but I wasn't sure if any certified 3H models exist?

It was common practice in the industry to use up old dials ... there are even IWC or Omega dials (I don't remember which) with T-markings and SL. All tritium-marked or -lumed dials and hands were used up, resulting in many "lume marriages" around 2000 even with much higher-priced brands.

What happened, I think, is that the T-markings and the circle-3H markings were separate processes, and when Sinn first swistched to the Ar-marking, the entire batch (T-dials and SL-dials) was marked such. After all, the marking is not fraudulent (as a 3h-marking on a SL-dial would be).

    Just my guess.
    Cheers,

    Martin ("Crusader")
