    U1 bezel removal question

So I got the screws taken out but the bezel won't come off: is there another step in the removal process? Something is still holding it onto the case.
    Thanks.

If you haven't seen it there is a YouTube video called Sinn U1 bezel swap out. That may help.

    Thanks.
With the screws backed out the retaining spring should expand and
allow the case to fall out. Try wiggling the bezel laterally to center
    the spring.

I wrote a description of how this works. Look there --> A guide to the Sinn U-series Bezel

    Thanks,

    Re: U1 bezel removal question

after taking a second shot at the removal process, success!!! I removed the 3 screws and began to push the bezel back and forth, no luck, nothing. So just for grins, I took out the fourth screw at 12 and began the push/pull motion and also rotated the bezel as I pushed, and it popped off.

A close look at the bezel shows that the gap in the bronze retaining ring was not at 12 where it should have been, but rather was mistakenly located around 6 or 7. So the 4th screw was actually holding the bezel on. Live and learn. BTW, the photo shows the bezel after I pushed the ring into the correct position.

And I see that this is an older case style, with the removable click ring with the 6 detents.

Intrigue has got the better of me David.......why do you want to remove your bezel? I'm still the school boy who likes to 'see how it works' but resist in case the 'spring flies out' etc!

    Nice!
I'm an SDR fan & think that the relatively subtle change makes a huge difference to the appearance of the watch, particularly on the bracelet. I've switched between my bracelet & rubber, have a Gas Gas Bones Zero on order and love the flexibility and different looks this gives. Having seen the bezel swap YouTube clip, I'd like to add the bezel option too.

Good to see you mastered the removal
