U1 Metal Bracelet, Leather Strap or Rubber Strap?

I have just received and installed (very easy to do) the metal bracelet on my U1. I have to say that I agree with Tim in that the metal bracelet is a perfect fit to the U-series and very comfortable to wear. I also have a DiModell waterproof leather strap with red stitching and Sinn deployant and of course the orginal issue Sinn rubber strap with large push button deployant.

I rank them this way for style and comfort:
    1. Metal Bracelet.
    2. DiModell Leather strap with Sinn deployant.
    3. Original rubber strap with large deployant.

I wonder what others thoughts are on the U-series bracelet and strap options and what type is prefered the most.

    Interesting. I'd rate them thus:
    1. Leather strap (still searching for the right one)
    2. Rubber strap with small Sinn clasp
    3. Steel bracelet

Re: U1 Metal Bracelet, Leather Strap or Rubber Strap?

    Hi,

as you all know, I own a U2 since 3 days. It came with the original rubber strap and additional the SS bracelet. This was my first rubber strap and I find it at the summer very comfortable. But I was curious for the metal bracelet. But I cant change, the Allan wrenches was missed. Today I was @ Sinn and the customer service give a set of 2 pcs. for nothing. Today I will change the strap and feel "made of steel". After 3 days I will give you a short report rubber vs. steel.

To the "carbon look" lether strap: The strap for it was nice, really, but my opinion is, not onto the U-series.

A better rubber strap deliver switch watch corp. IWC.... it is very nice.

    cheers

I like all the Bands for the Sinn U1

The rubber deployment is by far one of the most robust and strong of all the rubber type deployment bands that I have handled – almost ready to buy the new short deployment version , because I'm sick like that with these watches.

The steel bracelet is awesome, the hex screws in the links are also a very unique feature that I like.

My recent favorite is a 22mm Sinn Rubberized Leather Tang & Buckle strap direct from Germany, notice the " wasserfest " stamp !

Re: U1 Metal Bracelet, Leather Strap or Rubber Strap?

I tried a Dimodell carbon look leather band with a brushed stainless deployant on my U1 and found that it just was not big enough to really work with the watch. I like the size of the rubber band and love the size and operation of the big deployant clasp, but the steel gets my vote as most comfortable because of the ability to fine tune the fit. I also really like its weight.

Re: U1 Metal Bracelet, Leather Strap or Rubber Strap?

I have had my U2 for a couple of months now and it is great watch. I recently received the matching bracelet and have had it on for a few weeks, wering it almost daily. It is very comfortable and sevrves the purpose of dressing the watch up a bit, making it more suitable for my work environment.

I do, however, really think the rubber strap adds a great contrast to the watch and makes it stand out even more. I have put the strap back on and I think I like it better than the metal.

I have not yet tried a leather strap, bu t I think that would look great also, if it is the right strap. IT needs to be big and thick enough to match the watch. I am not a huge fan of the red stiching, but may give the one from Sinn a try. Any other suggestions via this thead would also be great. Love to see what other strap options the group has come up with.

    All the Best!

Re: U1 Metal Bracelet, Leather Strap or Rubber Strap?

    Hello all,

I personally favor a black Zulu Maratec band. They are the most comfortable bands I have worn. I did not like the rubber strap at all, but I agree that the black rubber contrasts with the stell case and complements the black face of the watch.

I'm partial to bracelets...I don't mind leather but really don't like rubber.

I will not buy a watch if it doesn't have a quality bracelet.
