Using Nato straps on a Sinn 157

So I recently got a 157 Ti Ty (early model), however one thing I quickly noticed was that due to the hooded lug design, it seems impossible to fit a Nato strap on. I've heard some people mention that the newer case design has two sets of lug holes and is more suited to Nato straps, however I've also seen photos of this same older case using a Nato strap, so I'm wondering how to get it on?

I've heard that rather than trying to draw the strap through as usual, it's better to lay the strap on, then install the spring bars, but even that seems impossible. Do I need to get thinner spring bars or something?

    Thanks!

Spacing looks awfully tight for a traditional nato. Maybe thin spring bars and the method you mentioned would work, but I'd be concerned about pressure on the spring bars. And you might also need to resort to a thin, flimsy nato, which probably wouldn't be suitable. If you want nylon, seems to me a sturdy two-piece is a better option.

thinner straps and spring bars will work: otherwise a two-piece strap is the answer.
I like those older roller bracelets.

dhtjr: Yeah, even if I got it on, the pressure on the spring bars would be quite high.

David: The thinnest spring bars I can find are 1mm I believe, would that be the best bet? Yes, this stock titanium bracelet is actually very comfortable (thanks partly to the spring loaded section), so that's lucky since it looks like my strap options are limited here.

I'm actually considering changing to the newer style case, but am having trouble finding a source for one. I sent an email to Sinn a few days ago asking about this, but have not received a reply yet.

Ya, your best bet for the NATO 'look' would be a Zulu 2-piece. A curved spring bar might work as well... If you can find the right size.
    Too many flipped...
