A real beauty; always liked the U1; never owned one yet, but I will one day.

Nice, the red rubber really sets it off.

If I'm reading the picture correctly, it's on your right hand... I envy you! I'm a lefty when it comes to watches, and although the 3 o'clock crown position is a VAST improvement, I'd take it at 8 o'clock any day...

My relationship with this particular watch is very abstract and chances are, that nobody else will understand.

In my childhood I was listening to radioplays all the time, especially "Three Investigators". The Three Investigators is an American juvenile detective (audio) book series first published as "Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators". The audio cassettes had been the hit in the 80s and even today many are still fans.

I was listing to the German version of this series, called "Die drei ????"

Their logo and the cassette artwork almost always used the same splash of red, as to be seen on this U1. Additionally, the Sinn U1 somehow really reassembles this audio book series for kids. It is almost toy-like, colorful and something that a kid would decide for, because of the Lego like hands and appearance.

While my childhood was rather bad, I could always escape through those audio books. And the watch brings back those few good moments I had back in time.

    Hope that makes sense.
