Where did you get the black/red strap shown in the photo? I like that one a lot.

Thanks. The watch is a stunner. I bought mine from a German on Chrono24.com. I have been searching for a nice speciment for some time. There is one for sale on Chronotrader in NOS condition with a blue (regular) Heuer box. I have seen several on eBay from time to time, but not in this condition. Also, I wanted the helmet box!

The original Race strap came with it. Also in very good condition, but I have decided to save it a long with the Helmet box to preserve it. The strap that is on it now is actually a limited Tissot leather clasp strap that I got from my local AD.

I believe this is a Calibre 11 movement... I bet David is smiling

The helmet box is almost as rare as the watches' condition... Thanks for posting.
    It`s actually Caliber 17 (Model 150.501)

Fascinating watch and great photography. The helmet box is icing on the cake. This is what I love about this forum.

    Re: Heuer Monza 150.501

I was given a monza (150.501) when I was a kid. I had no idea what it was other than a black watch. Beat it up a little bit. Some wear on the case, a few little scratches on the glass. Strap and helmet are long gone. I found it in my drawer. It still works! Any recommendations on refurbishing? Is it worth looking for original straps and if so where. Sorry, I am not a watch aficionado, will appreciate any advice I can get.

    Thanks. Bob

Pics would help a lot. If all you need is a service (clean/oil/regulate), any decent watchmaker can do that. Crystals are easily replaced too. Beyond that you start getting into time and money...

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!
