New member intro + dumb Carrera day date question

    G'day guys,
After lurking here for a while I thought it time I join.

I have an Omega Seamaster 300m as my daily wearer, a Monaco Gulf and just picked up a new Carrera Titanium from my local dealer 2 days ago after learning of its existence on Calibre 11. I absolutely love this watch and I believe I was lucky to get a new one as they were a limited run a year or two ago. It took the dealer 4 days searching through their other stores before this one was found.

Now, the dumb question; when I wind the Monaco, I wind clockwise and the crown turns freely with a number of faint clicks per turn. The Carrera on the other hand, turns freely anti-clockwise with similar faint clicks but is much stiffer when the crown is turned clockwise.
Which is the right way to wind up my Carrera?

    Here are my TAG Heuers:

    Regards, Alex.

Usually clockwise winds and counterclockwise just slips a rachet, doing nothing. So, when winding, you usually get more resistance in the wind direction. But movements vary in the amount of resistance. I wouldn't be concerned at what you describe.

Nice set of TAGs!! Thanks for posting.

Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

Wow, congrats, Alex mine says hello:

To answer your question... The Carrera winds clockwise on the crown and winding it on a winder it's clockwise as well (from http://www.orbita.net/NEW/Database-T.htm), the rotor spins in one direction and you'll feel this from time to time..

sorry to nit pick but the rotor spins both directions but just winds the mainspring in only one direction (regarding carrera).Lovely watches by the way!
