    Audex / Fortis Automatic

Here's a Fortis watch I've been having a bit of trouble finding any info on:

On the dial - Audex Fortis Automatic - Performance 21 Jewels.
On the back - All steel Swiss w 809 waterproof incabloc.
    Measures approximately 1 7/8" wide x 1 1/4" tall.

Great little dress watch. I put a black lizard band on it and I find myself wearing it more then my much nicer watches. Keeps very good time, loses less then 10 minutes a month in the autowinder (I can certainly live with that)

I know there was a company named Audex. I don't think they were around too long, and there's the Fortis company - but this is the only watch I've ever seen that has both names on it. Can I assume that Fortis bought out Audex, perhaps used some of their dials, placing the Fortis name underneath Audex ??
Also making an assumption that this is from somewhere around the late 1950's to the early 1970's ?????

Reality is that I got nuthin - I'm reaching for straws here.

Oops, didn't realize my spelling error
