2 Zenith pocket watches add themselves to my collection of Zenith

    Hello

We don't always talk about pocket watches, but there are some great discoveries to be made. It was the case yesterday for me on Ebay or after having scoured more than a hundred pages for 6 hours with mostly American brands like Hampden, South Bend, Illinois, Hamilton, Waltham, Seth Thomas, Rockford, Ball, Waltham, Elgin and Howard, I fell in love with two pocket Zeniths, one of the Serbian railways from the years 1929 and the other a very beautiful watch with a superb blue dial from the 40s.

    Good Sunday

    Best regards

    Georges

    Excellent Georges, wonderful couple!

Could you tell the case number on that railroad watch? Is that one of the first series of the Yugoslav Railroad watch? What does it say on the dial? All I can make out is 'Beograd'.

It is a serbian railways watch not a yougoslavian railways (apologoze for the mistake) watch from 1929, very first series indeed. It says Mik (abreviation for Mikhail) Petkovitch and company

If it's a mistake it's my mistake, but I don't think it's a mistake to call it rather Yugoslavian than Serbian, as it was a united kingdom and not just Serbia at the time, wasn't it?

Thanks for the clarification about the dial. Helped me to find this old thread on the same model.

Could you tell the case number as well?
