I’m disappointed by the lack of legibility of the minute register. Otherwise, this would be next on my list.
According to Monochrome watches more Chronomaster 2s are in the pipeline for reveal very soon. (Assume LVMH event in January). Hopefully no skeletonized versions
I heard the very same. Closed dial versions
That’s a Striking 10th right? I’d like to see them in a 38mm. I like the skeleton El Primeros in general, but not sure that would be one for me.
Fantastic. Not a fan of skeleton watches in general but Zenith makes them look really good. This one will probably be hard to get or even try.

No, this is a completely reworked caliber. Traditional setting, and hacking seconds, 60 hour power reserve.
Correct. That's why there's a 3600 instead of a 4052 (1/10th of a second version for the Cal. 400) in the reference number.
I haven't yet seen pictures of the movement but it seems to be a significant redesign of the old movement rather than an entirely new movement. The dimensions are the same (6.6mm height, 30mm diameter) but in addition to the changes mentioned by DemoIsland, we have:
- a reversal of the crown functions (pull out fully for time setting)
- a larger and shifted column wheel
- two rather than one coupling gears in the horizontal clutch
- better design for taking on additional complications
I personally can't wait to get a look at the innards!
Only 250 sets? I hope they come out with more versions that aren't limited...
